How to play

How to Play Cook Line

Read the active tickets, draw one unbroken path through all requested food for an order, lift to serve, and keep customers moving before their individual timers expire.

  1. 01

Read all three visible order tickets and their countdowns. Identify the most urgent order and count each food item it requests before touching the board.

  2. 02

Find the required items on the 6-by-6 grid and trace a continuous route between them. Look for a short path that collects the complete ticket in one stroke.

  3. 03

On desktop, click and hold on the first food, drag across the board without releasing, and lift after collecting the requested items. On mobile, drag and lift to serve.

  4. 04

Confirm the result through the checked ticket, coin total, shift total, and Fever meter. Cleared food leaves the grid and new pieces fall into the open cells.

  5. 05

Compare the replacement order with the other active tickets. When one continuous route can satisfy two or three orders, plan the full path first and serve them together for a combo.

  6. 06

Keep serving to fill Fever and trigger the 30-second double-coin Rush Hour. Bank coins toward the cumulative career unlocks for the Sushi Bar and Bakery.

About the game

Fill restaurant orders with one unbroken food-board stroke

Cook Line turns restaurant service into a path-drawing puzzle. The Burger Joint opens with a 6-by-6 food board on the left and three customer orders on the right. Each ticket lists the food and quantity it needs, and each has its own countdown. Draw one continuous stroke through the requested items, then lift to serve the completed order.

A burger-and-fries ticket can be completed by dragging through a burger and an adjacent serving of fries in one stroke. When the order is accepted, its ticket receives a check, the collected food leaves the board, new food falls into the spaces, and coins and the shift total increase. The values depend on the served path and progression, so plan from the visible ticket rather than expecting one fixed reward.

The larger loop connects service speed, combos, Fever, and career progress. One stroke can fill multiple visible orders, creating a combo. Served orders fill the Fever meter, with combo strokes filling it faster; a full meter starts a 30-second Rush Hour with double coins. Banked coins add to a permanent career total that unlocks the Sushi Bar and Bakery without spending those coins away.

Useful strategy

Read the ticket first, then serve with one clean stroke

  • Count the requested quantities before drawing. A burger icon with one fries icon asks for both items in the same completed stroke.
  • Start from the item with the fewest convenient routes. It is easier to finish through flexible food than to strand a difficult ingredient at the end.
  • Compare all active tickets for shared ingredients. Overlap can reveal a path that completes more than one order without lifting.
  • Watch each ticket's timer separately. Serve the customer closest to expiring when a larger combo would take too long to arrange.
  • After food falls into the cleared cells, reread the board before starting another path. The best route can change with every completed order.
  • Treat coins as cumulative career progress. Keep serving efficiently toward kitchen unlocks; the unlock total does not spend the coins you have already banked.

Read all three active orders before choosing a path

Each ticket is a compact ingredient list with its own clock. Start by naming the food and quantity on every visible order. This separates the most urgent customer from the ticket that offers the best combo opportunity. An order with little time remaining may deserve a direct path even when another ticket promises more ingredients.

Match the ticket icons to specific cells on the 6-by-6 board. Locate at least one complete set for the chosen order before pressing. If the ticket asks for one burger and one fries, identify both and check that your stroke can travel through them continuously without lifting.

Keep the other tickets in peripheral view. They may request one of the same foods or have a second set located along the planned route. You do not need to force every stroke into a combo, but reading all three orders reveals when one is already available.

Draw one clean stroke through the requested food

The stroke begins when you press the first food and continues until you release. Trace the route with your eyes first, choose a sensible starting end, and drag through the required cells in one motion. Releasing is the serve action, so keep the input held until the intended ticket is complete.

Favor short routes with easy turns. A direct burger-to-fries connection is simpler to control than a path that wanders across the board before returning to the second ingredient. When the order needs more items, break the route into visual segments while keeping the actual gesture unbroken.

After lifting, wait for the clear feedback: a completed ticket is checked, the collected cells empty, and replacement food falls. Then read the new arrangement. Beginning another stroke from the old board picture can send you toward food that has moved or disappeared.

Serve multiple tickets with a prepared combo stroke

A single path can complete as many as three visible orders when it collects everything those tickets request. Compare the ingredient lists and look for overlap. If two tickets both need burgers, for example, count the total burger requirement across them and include the other requested foods in one continuous route.

Plan the entire combo before pressing. Name the tickets the route should satisfy, mark the needed cells, and choose an order that keeps the path connected. The combo multiplies when the stroke fills multiple orders, but the path must still serve the actual lists; speed alone does not replace correct ingredients.

Respect the independent countdowns. A combo is worthwhile when its route is ready and the included customers have time left. If one ticket is about to expire, serve it with the shortest complete stroke and rebuild the combo idea from the replacement order and newly fallen food.

Build Fever and use the 30-second Rush Hour

Every served order adds to the Fever meter, and combo strokes fill it faster. Treat the meter as a reason to maintain clean service rather than delay a ready order. Consecutive completed tickets move both the shift total and Fever toward their next rewards.

When Fever fills, Rush Hour provides 30 seconds of double coins. Enter that window with the board already understood when possible. Read the active tickets, identify at least one complete path, and continue serving short reliable orders so more of the limited bonus time produces banked coins.

Do not sacrifice an expiring customer for a complicated Rush path. Double coins improve successful service, so correct strokes remain the priority. Use a multi-order combo when it is already prepared; otherwise take the quickest complete ticket, let new food fall, and search for the next route immediately.

Bank career coins to unlock new kitchens

The shift total measures current progress, while banked coins accumulate across your career. The official rule states that these coins are not spent away when they contribute to an unlock. That means every completed order supports longer-term access even when a single shift does not reach the next kitchen.

The Burger Joint is the starting restaurant. Continued career earnings unlock the Sushi Bar and then the Bakery, each with its own food, look, and music. Learn the one-stroke order system in the opening kitchen, then carry the same ticket-reading and route-planning habits into the later themes.

Focus on efficient service rather than an assumed per-order payout. Combo strokes and Rush Hour can improve earnings, while missed time reduces serving opportunities. Watch the live coin and career displays after each order to understand how the current run is advancing the next kitchen unlock.

Quick answers

Cook Line FAQ

How do you fill an order in Cook Line?

Draw one unbroken stroke through every food item the ticket requests, then release or lift to serve. The completed ticket receives a check when the order is accepted.

Do the three orders share one timer?

No. Each visible ticket has its own countdown. Compare them before drawing and prioritize an order that is close to expiring.

How do Cook Line combos work?

One continuous stroke can complete multiple visible orders when it collects all their requested ingredients. Filling two or three tickets with that path creates a multiplied combo.

What fills the Fever meter?

Serving orders fills Fever, and combo strokes fill it faster. When the meter reaches the top, Rush Hour begins.

What happens during Rush Hour?

Rush Hour lasts 30 seconds and doubles coins from successful service. Use prepared, dependable paths to make the limited bonus window count.

Are coins spent to unlock new kitchens?

No. Every banked coin adds to the career total, and the official rules state that nothing is spent. Cumulative earnings unlock the Sushi Bar and Bakery.
